Delicious Wines

Kevin, our vintner, makes so many lovely wines! From dry to sweet, red to white, he makes something for every palette. Unlike most wineries in East Coast, he uses a waterless wine making system and fine filtering, producing outstanding smooth flavorful reds and beautiful crisp white wines. Adding a twist, some of Bishop Estate wines are aged in special barrels to impart unique and alluring flavors. Kevin enjoys stepping out of the traditional wine making processes and finding wonderful ways to make distinctive and unique wines which have become crowd pleasers here. Do a tasting to find the wine you love and learn the stories behind each label!

100

+ Years

The Bishop Estate farm dates back to the 1800’s and has been in the Bishop family over 100 years! Kevin, the owner of Bishop Estate, was raised on this century farm, which was then a family dairy farm. In 1998, although Kevin and his wife love dairy farming, for many reasons they decided it was time to find another use for the property and after serious contemplation and research, they decided turn Kevin’s hobby of making fabulous batches of small wine into a business. Believing a winery would be an excellent fit for their property, they planted 1,000 grape vines, applied for a limited winery license, and started remodeling their bank barn into a tasting room, and the journey quickly began!
