Sangria in the winter! Yes, let it take you away! Find a sunny warm window to curl up in and drink your Winter Sangria to keep winter at bay, even if it is only in our mind! Our Winter Sangria has pear, pineapple, grapefruit soda and a sprig of Rosemary all mixed with our Riesling Wine. Use our Overworked Dry Riesling for a dryer version, or the Tipsie Cow Riesling for a sweeter version! Our recipes are never a secret, go home and make your own or stop by this winter and see if we have some ready to pour!
Winter Sangria
1 Bottle of Bishop Estate Overworked Dry Riesling
1 Bottle of Bishop Estate Tipsie Cow Sweet Riesling
2 individual servings of a grapefruit soda (or you can use grapefruit juice and club soda)
2 small cans of pineapple juice
4 Delmonte cups of diced pears with the juice
Diced fruit, pineapple, green apple, grapefruit (optional)
1 sliced green lime
1 sprig of rosemary, remove once it reaches the flavor to your liking
Snowflake ice cubes (available on amazon.com)
Makes 8 to 12 glasses. Garnish each glass with a sprig of Rosemary and some fruit and
and some snowflake ice cubes.
Pour all together and add the fruit. Leave sit in the refridgerator for at least an hour
for the rosemary sprig to impart some flavor. Serve chilled by a warm fire or a sunny window.
Note: If you like a dryer version use all Overworked Dry Riesling, and if you like it sweeter
use all of the Tipsie Cow Sweet Riesling. Cheers!
